Miscellaneous
I've just noticed that the BBC has closed its games site. I don't know when it died exactly (the wayback machine has it live as of February 2004), but that's not particularly important. What's important is the BBC's reason for shutting up shop:
"Following a review of the BBC's online service, it was decided to close the games portal because its value to audiences was not sufficient to outweigh the risk of negative market impact."
Games have negative market impact?
My flabber has rarely been so gasted.
