The 1,465 Steps

Anecdote

I counted how many steps I took in Sainsbury's today, doing the weekly shop. It was 1,465 in total, from the moment I walked in through the doors to to the moment I walked out through them.

Some of these steps were normal sized, but others were quite small if Iwas picking up a something and transfering it to my trolley. Still, it looks as if I must have walked over half a mile to collect this week's gorceries and bizarre requests from my daughters. It's all exercise, I suppose.

Now some people might thing that the reason I was counting steps was because I find shopping so boring than even counting my steps seems interesting. I have to say to those people: how did you guess?
