Anecdote
Fortunately for me, I was never bullied at school. Actually, that's probably fortunate for the bullies, too. The nearest that I ever came to it was when I was about 16, towards the end of the summer term. One of the lads, who was quite bright, tried a few things like making prank phone calls and putting drawing pins on my chair, but he wasn't really cut out for it and I didn't give him the reaction he wanted anyway.
One day, he came up to me and said, somewhat mockingly, "If you put an A in front of your initials, it spells ARAB".
His name was Richard Stuart Egglestone.
