I'm away on a trip to Tenerife tomorrow, to speak at the Tenerife GG event. My flight lands at 10:40 and my talk is at 13:00, so it's cutting things a bit fine.
We're scheduled for a heatwave in the UK, with the possibility that we could hit 40 degrees Celsius (the current record is 38.7). Tenerife is forecast to be around 23, so I think I'm getting the better deal.
I fly back on Saturday and almost every other talk at the event is in Spanish (which I can read about half of but can't speak and can't understand when spoken because it's a fast-out-of-the-mouth language). I may therefore have a few days of free time to explore the place....
