After Eight

Weird

I was looking for a packet of After Eight mints for Christmas, but couldn't find any in the shops. It was toilet paper during lockdown all over again.

My younger daughter did, however, find these:

I like mint fondant. I like orange fondant. As for minty orange fondant or orangey mint fondant or whatever it is that's inside these things, well it's not as good as either of them individually but it's still strangely edible.

I believe this is one of those products that has been released at Christmas not because the manufacturer is testing the market but because they have something they know isn't as good as what they make already but they'll be able to sell it once as a novelty before quietly retiring it.

Sprout-flavoured ketchup probably falls into the same category.
