Anecdote
We're having to binge-watch Foundation over the next few days, because we don't want an Apple TV account for any purpose other than to watch Foundation and the free trial only lasts a week.
Fortunately, by observing the mass behaviour of TV companies converting Science Fiction classics into TV series, I was able to predict that it would bear little resemblance to the text upon which it was based, and am therefore enjoying it for its own sake rather than for its faithfulness to the original.
Having read the original 45 years ago and forgotten most of it also helps.
