Anecdote
When I have ten or twenty minutes waiting for someone else to finish something, I usually play a game on my PC. One of those games is Football Manager 21. I managed to take Halifax Town from the conference to league 2 to league 1, and was working on getting them promoted to the championship. Then, I was offered the job of manager of Italy.
I've no idea why a national team of the calibre of Italy would offer a job to the manager of a third-tier club, but they did.
I took the job, and now have absolutely no desire to continue playing FM21 whatsoever.
It's weird how one dose of unrealisticness can completely spoil a game.
