Many anti-vaxers have dogs, right?

Suppose a virus appears that kills dogs. Scientists develop a vaccine that stops dogs from dying of the virus. Do the anti-vaxers get their dogs inoculated?

My guess is that many anti-vaxers wouldn't believe that the virus existed, until perhaps it killed their dogs. If they did believe it, though, would they get their dogs inoculated?

Suppose scientists can't create the vaccine because there are too many variations between breeds of dog. However, suppose that human beings are unaffected by the virus but are carriers of it. Do the anti-vaxers get vaccinated to save their dogs? Do they want everyone else to be vaccinated to save their dogs?

Suppose it's the other way round. Dogs are carriers of a virus that doesn't affect them but really does a number on humans. We can vaccinate the dogs but the vaccination side-effects are too bad to vaccinate humans. Do the anti-vaxers vaccinate their dogs?

What about pro-vaxers? Would you agree to be vaccinated to save the world's dogs? What if there was a one in ten million chance the vaccine could kill you?

Personally, I'm not a big fan of dogs.
