Anecdote
Our stop today was in Vigo, "city of emotions", mainly of the "meh" variety. It has a nice setting, but some epic view-spoiling buildings and an over-developed old town. I don't think Vigo's aspirations to become a major tourist destination are likely to be met.
It's quite a big place, so I dare say there are some good parts to it. We went to the ruined fortress at the top of the nearest hill and saw some interesting-looking buildings; mainy, though, they were concrete with terracotta-tiled roofs,
I'm glad we went, but I won't be in a great rush to return.
Also, it rained for most of the time.
