Local Election

Anecdote

It's local election day today. I was the first person to vote at our polling station (I popped in after dropping my wife off at the train station for her commute to Covidland).

My choice of candidates were:

Conservative. A party of privilege led by a man educated at Oxford University.
Labour. A party of the working class led by a knight of the realm educated at Oxford University.
Liberal Democrat. A party of the working class a hundred years ago led by a knight of the realm educated at Oxford University.
Green. A party so at odds with itself that it needs two leaders to hold it together. One is charismatic and was educated at Durham University. The other has the charisma of cloth and was educated at the University of East Anglia.

From this I conclude that Durham+UEA=Oxford.
