Railworks

Outburst

For my travels to Queen Mary University London, I have to buy two weekly season tickets. This means I can go to London at the weekend.

Here is the list of service changes due to railworks for November.

Basically, trains are buses if you want to go to London at a weekend.

We endured months and months of disruption in the run-up for the 2012 Olympics, made tolerable only by the belief that at least there'd be a high quality rail network as a result. There isn't.

I'm pretty sure the Victorians didn't close the railways every weekend to do track maintenance. I don't know what it is that Greater Anglia's trains do to the tracks that thumping great steam engines didn't, but I wish they didn't do it.
