Anecdote
I restarted playing Secret World Legends on Friday last week, and seven days later (ie. yesterday) hit the level cap of 50. I took the same approach as I did for the four days I'd played it before restarting: do every quest in every zone and kill all the wandering bosses before advancing to the next zone.
The quest I was doing when I hit level 50 was the very last one I needed to complete zone 4 (the Scorched Desert) before starting the next one (City of the Sun God).
That's some pretty damned good balance calculation there.
