Anecdote
I finally bought a bradawl yesterday. I've been looking for one for years, but haven't been able to find one (mainly because I didn't know what they were called). Fortunately, they got old-fashioned and out-of-date that Colchester's Homebase thought it was a good idea to stock one, so I bought it.

It's a screwdriver except it has a point on the end instead of slot. You have to be 18 or over to buy one, because obviously today's under-18s should have to learn how to file a knitting needle into a point just like everyone did in the past.
If you want to see it in 3D, here, I took a cross-your-eyes photo of it:
Now I have it, though, what shall I do with it?
Hmm, I'm sure I'll think of something...
