Anecdote
We dutifully took down all the Christmas decorations on Saturday, as usual on Twelfth Night. Usually, I wait a few days before putting them back in the attic, because there's always one we didn't spot. This year, though, we conducted a thorough sweep of the house, checking every possible place that decorations could be put. I waited an extra day, during the course of which my wife found two small pieces of tinsel, and then I took everything back to the damp roofspace where it lives for the next 11 months.
Three hours later, my younger daughter found two metres of blue/purple tinsel that had been surrounding the mirror in her bedroom.
