Anecdote
My wife listens to BBC Radio Essex in the morning while she's getting dressed, which for some reason always takes her half an hour. This morning, she heard a report that Essex University is starting a new degree course in Online Games.
Yay! That's my new degree course!
The university's External Relations department must have put out a press release or something. Unfortunately, although they're good at external relations, they don't seem to be quite up to speed on internal relations, otherwise I might have known in advance that such a press release was going out.
Still, I don't really care, so long as we get some new students out of it.
