Scream for help.

Your assailants are momentarily confused, long enough for you to dodge between them and run off. Seconds later, though, they're after you, and HO BOY, are they FAST! Sudden changes of direction slow them down, but they can soon make up the lost distance.

Just as you're beginning to think you're not going to make it to safety, a shadowy figure leaps out between you and the two hoods. Still running, you turn your head and see that it's the guy with the bad leg!

"Take the painting!" he shouts, "for pity's sake!"

You spot he's stood it against a shop window right where you're going. You could easily snatch it up and take it with you, or you could leave it where it is for the nasty guys to find once they've put a few more knife holes in the stranger.

You can:

Grab the painting and run like hell.

Forget about the painting and flee.

Go back and help the limping man tackle the hoods.
