Pub Crawl

Anecdote

There's a pub at the end of our road. This morning, we received a letter from the owners apologising for the noise and bad language of its customers that had resulted in complaints and a visit from the council.

It was Christmas. It's a pub. Of course there was going to be noise!

There's been a pub at the end of our road for over a hundred years. No-one who lives here was unaware when they moved in that there was a pub nearby. It's like buying a house on a flight path and then calling in the council to try to get the airport to turn the noise down a bit. This is just a pub being a pub.

Of course, we live over a hundred yards from it, so any noise wasn't going to reach us anyway...
