Anecdote
It's my birthday at the weekend (just send money), and my elder daughter warned me that a present for me would be arriving by post today. I would be able to tell it was a present for me as it would have her name on the box.
I guess if every present you've ever received has your name on it, you could easily extrapolate to conclude that every present everyone else receives has your name on it too.
As it happens, the box didn't just have her name on it. It had Bettys of Harrogate on it too.
