Anecdote

I've left my home office now while my wife amuses herself tearing the wallpaper off, and am now ensconsced in my elder daughter's bedroom. Running an X.25 cable her through the attic 10 years ago has finally paid off!

While emptying my desk, I came across these:

They're unused name badges for a MUDmeet we had many years ago. Nowadays, you'd just grab the clip art and print them off to professional standards. These, though, are made using a rubber stamp I bought in the mid-1990s at Stampa Barbara in the South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles. I have (well, now I've emptied it, had) a drawer full of these things.

Hmm. I guess I'll keep them, in case I ever need to entertain a 5-year-old.
