Tickets

Anecdote

When I got home yesterday, my wife spent the first 5 minutes telling me she'd managed to get some more tickets for the Olympics. She'd opened the ticket web site on a whim and seen some gymnastics tickets were available, so she'd bought them. She was so excited that I was unable to get a word in edgeways, meaning I couldn't tell her that I already knew because my younger daughter had texted me about it.

Fortunately, she was only able to get two tickets so I won't have to watch it myself.

In the evening, she appeared again. She'd had another random look at the ticketing site and discovered some seats for athletics events were for sale. She had one minute to decide whether to buy them or not. As none of the other tickets were for events inside the stadium, she went for it.

Again, she was only able to get two tickets.

Damn. That means I'm going to have to be nice to her for all of next month.
