Old Tin

Anecdote

I spent some time in the attic yesterday, looking for the box with the Science Fiction books in it. After about 45 minutes of searching, I can confidently say that it could well be up there or we might have just given the books away to charity.

Anyway, while I was opening random boxes up there, I came across this:

It's a blue tin that used to live on top of the kitchen cabinet when I was a kid. It had a specific purpose, namely storing, well, see for yourself:

If I ever finish this marking (still on CE317, yet to start CE217) I'll have to sort them out. I doubt there are any complete sets there, but I did notice some Dr Who and the Daleks cards out of packets of sweet cigarettes (yes, there used to be sweets made to look like cigarettes in the 1960s) that sell for £2 each on eBay.

Hmm, I wonder if I could complete my own set by buying some?

No ... must ... mark ... assignments.
