Student Protest Protests

Outburst

Today's Guardian has a two-page spread concerning yesterday's walk-out by schoolkids who fancied a day of school, or, alternatively, wanted to defend the access of poorer students to universities in the light of higher fees that purely by coincidence they themselves don't want to have to pay.

Anyway, this being a cause that The Guardian is generally in favour of, the two-page spread was dominated by a picture of girls:



Girls dominate the other pictures, too. The Guardian wants us to approve of the protest, so they shove fresh-faced girls in the pictures because hey, everyone likes fresh-faced girls. If the students were picketing The Guardian's offices, though, you could be sure they would be all scary-looking boys...
