Lots of American hotels seem to have them. I think it's called a bolster, but I've no idea how I'm supposed to use one. I always figured they were to separate unwilling couples when they were sharing a bed, but apparently not.
Oh well, I've managed 50 years without ever having used one, so I guess whatever it is they're for, I can manage without.
