Anecdote
I have a small abrasion on my right hand. It's so small, I wasn't aware I had it until I tried out one of the alcohol-based hand sanitisers that the university has thoughtfully put up outside every toilet in order to stop us from spreading swine 'flu. Then I noticed — as did anyone within earshot.
