My elder daughter is revising for her AS levels, which means she's studiously doing some past papers.

Here's question 11(d)(iii) from the June 2003 OCR Physics in Action exam. See if you can answer it out of context:

So if you said Mary should cover her ears (or other alternative wording), pat yourself on the back — you just got a mark.

How young would you have to be not to get that?

Last year, 24.1% of A-level students (of which the AS examinations are a part) were awarded an A grade.
