Anecdote

More from the "Argh, I'm coming apart at the seams" department.

I seem somehow to have developed a huge stye on my right eyelid. In the past, whenever I've had a stye it's been little more than a tiny pinpoint-sized white ulcer that only caused an occasional minor twinge when I blinked. This time, it's like I have acne of the eyelid — I'd put Savlon on it if I didn't think doing so would blind me.

It's not hugely painful, it's just very uncomfortable. It's draining some kind of I-don't-want-to-know-what liquid into my eye that blurs my vision until I wipe it clear, and performing that action does indeed hurt. Plus, I look like someone with a birth defect that couldn't be corrected surgically.

Still, at least I'm in better condition than Mozart was at my age, ie.I've not been dead 11 years.
