I bet the "I am an individual working from home" who owns http://www.torchwood.com has been celebrating since the new spin-off from Dr Who was announced.
I'm pleased they're doing this. Captain Jack was too good a character to discard, but was too individual to be sidekick material. Giving him his own vehicle is the ideal way not to waste him. The new series sounds good in its own right, too.
The actor, John Barrowman, has had hits on the West End stage in musicals. I hope he resists the temptation to sing in Torchwood...
